Leaf opened it's doors back in 1992 and has been owned and ran by Katie with her experienced team of stylists since 1996.
To maintain it's unique quirky feel, the salon has undergone a number of updates to its interior over the years with the most recent being during the recent lockdown. We refurbished some old reclaimed scaffolding boards and combined them with used metal pipework and tube clamps to create an industrial look which feels more modern while keeping the unusual rustic feel which is unique to Leaf.
Our art collection is growing, with the addition of a few new DULK prints. These beautifully illustrate the environmental issues animals around the world are facing with vivid colours. Indeed the latest addition was a limited edition charity print which was painted to raise money for the Koala bears who lost their homes during the Australian bushfires in 2019.
Leaf has had a long association with the Aveda products and they continue to prove to be very popular with our clients.
Aveda products are cruelty free, 97% chemical free, fully vegan, manufactured using 100% wind power and packaged in recycled bottles and jars.
We have recently introduced their new botanical repair range which is a revolutionary new system for strengthening hair from inside.
Sustainability is the core of our ethos here at Leaf
and following a refit back in 2007, we decided as a salon that we wanted to move towards becoming much more environmentally aware and be as green as we could.
